School Programs Reservations

All school programs reservations are first-come, first-served. Only one application per teacher will be accepted.

These step-by-step instructions will help you gather the information you need to fill out our online School Programs Application Form.

1. Provide the Applicant Name and Phone Number

2. Select a Lead Teacher for Your School Visit

Provide us with the name and contact information of the lead teacher. The lead teacher is our primary contact if we have questions about the reservation request. The lead teacher is responsible for the entire group coming from your school and must accompany the group on their school program visit to the Aquarium.

3. Select Your Dates

We'll ask you to specify up to 10 school program dates on the application form. Be sure to refer to your 2008-2009 school calendar to avoid holidays and potential testing dates.

4. Specify Arrival and Departure Times

The application asks you to specify the earliest time your group can arrive at the Aquarium and the latest time you can leave the Aquarium. We'll assign your program and check-in times based on this information. Generally, you'll need to check in 15 minutes before the program begins.

Tip: Select realistic arrival times. If you arrive after your designated arrival time, your program may be cancelled.

5. Program Preferences

Review the program choices which are listed and described on our School Programs Choices page. Rank your choices in order of preference. If you select Discovery Lab or Ocean Explorers programs, please choose one of the topics appropriate for your grade level.

6. Gather School Group/Student Information

For each class that will be coming on the school program visit, you will be asked on the application to supply the number of students, grade level, teacher's name and any additional information that would help us provide the best experience possible. If you are a home school family or group, we would like information on the age range of your students (3-12 or 13-18). If you don't know these specifics, enter "mixed."

7. Additional Information

Please provide us with any information about your students or classes that would be helpful for us to know to serve you better (special needs, learning level, language preferences, etc.).

8. Complete and Submit the Online School Program Application Form

You should now have the information you need to complete our online School Programs Application Form.
